Live Entertainment – Steve Ditzell

A blues guitarist with an inborn knack for timing and phrasing, Steve Ditzell has been performing for over 30 years. He has toured and recorded with many of the great Chicago blues artists including Koko Taylor, Son Seals, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells.

Ditzell and his Blue Lightning Band started working on their first CD during 2001, capturing his unique ability to lean his blues-playing in the direction of rock. Their Blues For Theresa CD flashes his wily side, evoking the spirit of Stevie Ray Vaughan with monster electric pulls and occasional rock yelps and grunts. As a solo artist, Ditzell’s 9 String Blues saw him go acoustic, feeling out an organic boogie woogie on gems like “Guitar Rag”.

Danny has since struck out on his own and we expect he will become a guest favorite very quickly.

With talents ranging from powerful solo performances to vocal front-man in a 7-piece rock band, Dennis O’ Brien is a local musician who has performing acoustic rock classics for the past 25 years. He is a solid vocalist and acoustic guitar player, well-versed in multiple musical genres that include rock, blues and folk.
An accomplished entertainer who has performed in the Chicago metropolitan area with various musical acts, he has shared the stage with such notable artists as “The Eagles”, “Rare Earth”, “Three Dog Night”, “Koko Taylor”, “The Buckinghams”, “The Cryan’ Shames”, and “The Turtles”.
